Both courses run Friday from 6pm to 9pm, Saturday from 9am to 9pm and Sunday from 9am to 4pm for a total of 20 hours.
Journey Through Egypt 1 is an overview on the movement, posture, clothing, history, and cultural diffusion in the different regions of Egypt. Sahra Kent’s unique perspective follows how the dance transforms from the homes of the people to the sparkling stages of Cairo. Twenty hours of life-changing instruction in one amazing weekend.
Level 2 is a 20-Hour Intensive Workshop which includes dance and ritual movement of the “Dance Zones of Egypt” with special work in a variety of dances, such as Awalem Shamadan Farrah style, Cairo examples of Hassaballah, Beja Bravery Dance of the Eastern Desert, Bamboteyya of the Suez Canal, Awlad Ali Bedouin Hagallah dance, Zaggala of Siwa, Saidi Assaya, Firqit Zeffah,and much more.

One weekend (JtE 1 or 2) is $250 at the early-bird price if you pay before January 15th. Buy Journey Through Egypt Levels 1 and 2 together and pay only $400 until January 15th.
Space is strictly limited to allow for the best experience possible for all participants. Priority will be given to those taking both weekends.
